Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St.. Joseph the Bridegroom (Discalced Carmelites) was issued in the years 1661-1672 i 1680-1682 according to the project by arch. Governor's Palace (Presidential) was created in the years 1818-1819 with redevelopment (by Christian Piotr Aigner) palace from the 17th century. Lion statues of 1821 the year was carved by Camillo Landini. From 1989 year, the palace is the seat of the President of the Republic of Poland.

Hotel “Bristol” wybudowano według projektu Władysława Marconiego i Stanisława Grochowicza w latach 1899-1901 . This exclusive hotel has hosted famous personalities from the world of politics and culture. Early modernist, originally decorated in the Art Nouveau style (furniture designed by Otto Wagner's son and the famous crystal elevator), after World War II it was devastated, inter alia, by a new interior in the style of socialist realism. Locked in 1981 year, after a complete renovation and interior change, it was opened in 1992 year.
